Addressing more than 250 BCA and MCA students at Shrimati Indira Gandhi College, Tiruchirappalli, on "AI Careers 2030: From Classroom to AI Professional".
From Gandhi's legacy to tomorrow's AI innovators, education continues to transform lives.
On 4 August 2026, I had the great pleasure of addressing more than 250 BCA and MCA students at Shrimati Indira Gandhi College, Tiruchirappalli, on the topic: "AI Careers 2030: From Classroom to AI Professional".
What made this visit especially meaningful was its personal connection. The college stands directly opposite the institution where I studied for seven years, until 2000. Although I passed its gates countless times, I never had the opportunity to visit, until now.
It was a joy to return to this familiar place and share my journey from a college student to a Data and AI leader, along with lessons gained from over two decades of industry experience.
The students' enthusiasm for Artificial Intelligence and other emerging technologies was truly inspiring. Their thoughtful questions, curiosity and active participation made the session highly interactive and memorable.
Sharing is caring; sharing knowledge empowers others.
The most emotional and unforgettable moment was having the privilege of sitting in the very place where Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation, sat in 1934 while addressing students about education.
Capturing a photograph there was much more than preserving a memory. It was a moment of reflection, connecting Gandhiji's timeless legacy and belief in education with our responsibility to inspire and prepare the innovators of tomorrow.
My heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Rethinavalli Sowrirajan, Prof. Viji and all the faculty members for their exceptional hospitality and warm welcome. This experience will always remain close to my heart.
